Maria joined Twin in 2001 in the LLR. Working nights at Toys R Us, she met staff from Twin who urged her to apply. After interviewing with Aurelio, she was on her way. Over time, Maria has served in the laundry doing a 6 am – 12 pm shift followed by a 12 pm – 7 shift in the LLR. Maria has been a banquet server and still serves at the reception desk as needed. Three years ago, Gavin offered Maria the job of LLR Manager; she could not be more grateful. Humbled by the member support and confidence in her abilities, she always does her best to help the women of Twin. Special memories also include a Twin employee holiday party with a Mariachi Band at which she danced with her husband. Another special gift is watching children grow up at the club, one day running around the pool and soon celebrating special occasions here as young adults. Maria is pleased to see the continuous improvement of our club, through remodeling, fresh activity ideas, and opening over the winter in the Lodge. She sees that Twin is always trying to do things to help the employees which is very meaningful to their families as well. She enjoys listening to music and likes to dance. In her free time, Maria likes to shop, help her husband with planting flowers and vegetables, enjoys family dinners, and plays with her 1-year-old grandson Emiliano, the son of her only child Jesus.
